Abstract: | Bending studies on the deformation behavior of zirconias demonstrated that over a temperature range of-150 to 1400°C one inelastic-elastic
and two elastic-inelastic transitions and, thus, a considerable change in their mechanical behavior were possible. Micro-Raman
spectroscopy data were used in the analysis of test results. It is expedient to supplement the specification of these materials
with their deformation characteristics, and the development of bending test methods for ceramics should allow for their inelastic
deformation.
