Design,Rooted in Culture,Taking Ming-Style Furniture for Example to Analyze the Influence of Chinese Traditional Culture in Furniture Design

Through the understanding of Confucianism,the article indicates the important impact which Confucianism ideology exerts on the Ming Dynasty Confucian culture as well as the arts.Ming-style furniture is synonymous with traditional Chinese furniture,and the classic design is welcome for all times and in all the world.We start to explore the Ming-style furniture inherent temperament from the style of the form and do some specific analysis of Confucian thought which played a key role in the style of the Ming furniture form.It is the combination which involves the human emotion advocated by Confucian together with the integration of the beauty of nature advocated by Taoism,and the traditional literati scholars applied the way of thinking in literary and artistic creation and appreciation in furniture design,which benefits the aesthetic temperament of Ming-style furniture.
