| 摘 要： | 嵌入式零树小波编码算法是基于小波变换的一种图像压缩方法，它可以实现渐进编解码，从有损到无损压缩，具有较高的压缩比和图像恢复质量，在图像编码中具有非常重要的地位。文中对嵌入式零树小波编码算法及其改进算法的原理、方法和性能进行了介绍和比较，并指出了嵌入式图像编码的研究方向。

| Abstract: | EZW(Embedded Zerotree Wavelet)coding based on wavelet transform is a kind of image coding method that suits lossy to lossless compression and progressive codec, and can reach high compression rate and image reconstruction quality. The principles and performances of EZW and its improved algorithms are presented and explained, and the research tendency in the area of embedded image coding is pointed out. |
