基于数学形态学的车牌识别方法

摘    要:数学形态学具有速度快、方法简单等特点,使用数学形态学进行车牌的识别.通过预处理和阈值分割算法后,主要利用形态学腐蚀运算进行车牌边缘检测和识别,该方法检测物体的边缘宽度仅为一个像素,定位精度高.通过与传统的边缘检测算子比较,再选择合适的结构元对车牌识别,具有良好的识别结果.使用MAT-LAB7.0软件进行仿真,通过大量实验,证明该算法具有一定的实用性.
