摘    要:介绍了多脉冲PPM调制(MPPM)的调制结构,分析了MPPM与PPM的结构关系。利用Matlab仿真的方法,比较了MPPM调制与其他几种典型调制方式(OOK、PPM、DPIM)的发射功率、带宽需求和误时隙率等性能指标,发现其功率利用率远远高于OOK,带宽需求明显比PPM、DPIM低,误时隙率的性能也具有一定优势,综合性能比较优越。结果表明MPPM是一种有前途的调制方式,适合紫外光通信及其他大气光通信的场合。

Abstract:This paper describes the modulation structure of multi-pulse modulaton(MPPM),ayalyzes the structure of MPPM and PPM.Through Matlab theory simulation,MPPM is compared with performance of several typical modulation methods(OOK、PPM、DPIM)on average transmission power、required bandwidth and slot error rate,founding that average transmission of MPPM is much higher than that of OOK,required bandwidth of it is shorter than that of PPM,slot error rate of it also has certain superiority,simultaneously avoids OOK、PPM and DPIM's dediciency,the overall performance is quite superior.Result indicates that MPPM is a promising modulation for UV communication and other optical communication.
