The parallel knowledge base machine is a special computer to impove the performance of the large knowledge base system by using of the technique of parallel processing,The knowledge partition and parallel inference model are its two important problems. We select the production systems as the fundamental knowledge representation of the parallelknowledge base machine, the paper focus on the partition and parallel inference problems ofthe production systems.
