Abstract:A discharge monitoring method for hydraulic turbines, pumps, large penstocks and an on_line monitoring system of unit discharge of Yanguoxia Hydropower Plant are described. Some conclusions are drawn as follows:①for discharge monitoring of hydraulic turbines, pumps and large_sized penstocks, the differential pressure method is not only lower in cost, but also convenient in installation, debugging, operation and maintenance;and it is suitable for different type of hydraulic turbines and different conditions;②the discharge monitoring device based on microcomputer is of higher automation level, complete functions and advanced technology.
