| Abstract: | In 1980＇ s large heat pumps （LHP） connected to district heating networks, as one of the important infrastructures, were introduced in great scale in Sweden. Within a few years most Swedish cities of some size had a LHP plant in operation. Ten years later a similar development took place for district cooling （DC）. At first, existing LHPs were used also for cooling. Sweden has been the country leading the technology of heat pumps to realize district heating and cooling in the world. The infrastructure is being completed in Sweden and the knowledge is transferred worldwide. At present, energy saving, emission reduction, environment friendly and sustainable energy utilization have become key world during the rapid development in Chino, The time has now come to introduce LHP/DC in China with the assistance of European experiences. The article briefs the advantages of centralized heat pump and district heating/cooling system, and focuses on introduce the related experience in Sweden as well as the harmonic localizing of the technology in China. |
