Publications of men and women psychologists: Do women publish less?

Examined the relationship between publication and a variety of other variables for male and female PhD psychologists. The number of publications by 122 male and 122 female psychologists in Psychological Abstracts from 1964-1968 was studied. Males published significantly more papers (.61) per year than females (.21).
