COMPOSITION OPTIMIZATION OF BINARY AQUEOUS SALT SOLUTIONS

An exponential typo of expressions are constructed to relate the density of single and mixed aqueous salt solutions to the salt(s) concentration. These are less accurate than Kemp et al equation but satisfactory for practical engineering are as illustrated by tabulated density values of CaCl_2-CaBr_2 solutions. Applying the exponential expression for binary solution and using simplex method in linear programing. the optimal composition for a binary solution of given density is determined at the basis of the lowest material cost The calculating proceedure is presented.
