Abstract:
Reactivities of active oxygen species with hydrocarbons and their roles in the catalytic oxidation are discussed. The concepts and recent developments including the activation of dioxygen molecule with reducing agents are summarized with emphasis on the catalytic oxidation of inactive hydrocarbons.
