Ground source heat pump （GSHPS） is a new technology that is highefficient energy-saving and environment friendly,and able to realize sustainable development.This article introduces development,merits,engineering design application of ground source heat pump air-conditioning systems at home and abroad,analyzes fundamental cause of high initial investment of ground source heat pump systems in combination with cases of ground source heat pump engineering,and then explores the possibility of reducing initial investment in various concrete links of implementation of ground source heat pump engineering,to manage to control engineering cost and guarantee operation effect of ground source heat pump systems as well,fully carry out system optimization,and truly realize the feasibility and economical efficiency of ground source heat pump systems.
