Abstract: | 1 INTRODUCTION It is estimated that there are about 6000 tons of arsenic loaded intosmelters along with their various concentrates each year inChina(reference data from 1986)1]. As result, a lot of flue dustcontaning arsenic and antimony is produced. Utilization and treatmentof this flue dust are of significance for the economy of recovery ofarsenic and antimony and the environmental protection. But conventionaltreatment processes of pyrometallurgical volatilization2] andhydrometallurgical leaching3] are unsatisfactory because of thedifficulty in seperating As and Sb as well as in preventing secondarypollution. This research is intended to develop a new low temperaturechlorination-distillation process with high recovery of valuables andlow pollution. |
