Selection of Urban Sewage System in Mountainous Cities with Multiple Drainage Basins

The factors and analytic approach for the selection of sewage drainage system were introduced. Combined with the actual engineering cases, the selection method of the sewage drainage system in mountainous cities with multiple drainage basins was analyzed, and the centralization or decentralization of the sewage drainage system was discussed especially. It is pointed that when installing the sewage drainage system, full consideration should be given to the effects of these factors such as scale-economy, network investment and construction difficulty, convenience of reuse of the effluent, and sequence of city construction. It is consistent with the actual condition that the appropriate decentralized sewage treatment system is selected in the multiple drainage basins with complicated terrain.
