Abstract:On the basis of previous work,the influence of CeO_2 on the corrosion resistance of laser-alloyed M_(80)S_(20),where M signified a metallic content,predominantly iron,and S represents a metalloid content specifically boron,silicon,and carbon,was further studied by comparative electrochemical test using optical microscope,scanning electron microscope,potentiostat and a X-Y recorder in this paper.The results shown that the addition of CeO_2 can improve the corrosion resistance of laser-alloyed M80S20 alloy layer significantly.
