Intensify Reform and Promote the Integration of Science and Economy

At present and in a rather long period afterwards, our country is and will continue to be in the initial stage of socialism and in the system of socialist market economy. An effective integration of science and technology with socialist market economy is a current and hot issue that all the research institutes of science and technology in China are now faced with and are eamestly dealing with. This paper discusses in depth and on the basis of the practice conducted in the writer's work unit, how to intensify in the technology-development-oriented research institued in the socialist market economy the reform and marketing, and the protection of the rights of knowledge and self reliance.
