Enlightenment of U.S. Architectures： The Impressions of a Chinese Architect from His Family Visit to the United States

After the tour in some U.S cities, I got im- pression about American Architecture and city planning design. Residential design： Letting it be with nature and it is people ori- ented. Washington D.C. core area planning design： cross-axis with obelisk in the center like eyes and important buildings netted around, the way makes space clear and ordered. Lake citing the river makes the area vitality. The commemoration sink-square do not interfere with the overall situation on the ground, while the creativity idea of them are profoundly moving. The memorial building which were erected around for those great presidents in the history were applauded by American people. Desert city Las Vegas is a commercial miracle by unique building ways. The pop- ularity in Commercial Street of New York- a standing city is in the lead of the world. Large Supermarkets are better than malls, which is a kind of modem pattern. Commercial Street in Boston with Center Island is for shopping and leisure, the very design is of humanity.
