Abstract: | Comments on K. J. Gergen's (see record 1986-00014-001) article regarding the social constructionist movement in modern psychology by arguing that, while individual perceptions of the world may be endlessly contestable, fallible experience remains the foundation of claims to knowledge and, thus, an empirical criterion for truth is essential.
