Abstract: | Comments on M. V. Wideman and J. E. Singer's (see record 1985-28845-001) claim that no correlation exists between hypnotic susceptibility and response to the Lamaze method in childbirth by refuting their claim with results from the present author's own research and by suggesting that the possibility that hypnotizability is a relevant dimension in nonhypnotic forms of therapy is an area that warrants further research.
