Abstract: | For the exhaustion of wood particles from chipping woodworking machines, a minimum amount of transport air is neede. This amount results from the requirements of the machine concerned and must be specified by the machine manufacturer. Useless great air volumes are of manifold disadvantage: they require expensive exhausters with great capacity, they further cause higher energy cost, increase noise development as well as the tendency to blow out chips. A streamline design of chip conducting machine parts generates advantageous condition and diminishes the required air volume. The constructive principles to be considered are summarized, discussed and are demonstrated by a practical example. |
