| Abstract: | The Chinese GNP in 1993 was 13.4%, against 12.7% in 1992 and this paper highlights the role of the construction industry in China and pinpoints those areas that will have new legislation following the introduction of the Construction Industry Development Act as well as issues dealing with reform and international practice. |
