Abstract: | Lead fluorosilicate glasses containing up to 25 mol% PbF2 were prepared. The dc electrical conductivity, thermal expansion, and transformation-range viscosity of these glasses indicate that they are anionic conductors and that fluorine significantly decreases the continuity of the vitreous network. |
