摘    要:研究了PC/PS共混体系及其增容体系的透光性能和双折射,结果表明,PC/PS共混体系虽是一个不相容体系,但仍然是一个透明本系。

Abstract:Birefringence in polymeric materials used for optical applications represents non isotropic optical properties, and therefore undesired, but cannot always be avoided. The results show that PC/PS blends are transparent though they are immiscible. A new method to obtain birefringence free polymer without sacrificing orientation in materials was proposed. This method is achieved by combining suitable amounts of PC and PS in the form of a blend. The observed drastic reduction in birefringence is the result of the compensation of positive and negative contributions to the overall birefringence.
