| Abstract: | When a mobile host moves between two foreign networks, a handoff is necessary to adjust the mobile routing functionality. In this paper, we describe first process and principal of mobile IP handoff. Then we discuss some reasons causing negative effects on the performance of TCP, and some experiment results. Finally, we present some methods to improve the handoff performance. |
