| Abstract: | Adaptive Structures – Alterable stadium roof constructions. Deployable roof structures will become more and more common in modern stadium design. The design team needs to find the answers for the most important questions, such as: opening‐closing mechanism, loading, risk management, structural concept and last but not least the architectural design. Using recent examples, the tendencies in the design of retractable roofs is presented as well as the significant influence of the dead load in this respect. |
