Abstract: | Fatigue Bearing Capacity of Anchors exposed to Shear Loading To determine the effect of concrete properties on the fatigue bearing capacity of metal anchors exposed to shear loading, tests on M12 bonded anchors have been conducted. The analysed properties included the compression strength and a crack of 0.3 mm width in comparison with the non‐cracked concrete. A Wöhler curve, and therewith the oscillating width of the fatigue bearing capacity, has been calculated for each of the four test series from the gained results. Furthermore, a function has been developed for the cracked and the non‐cracked concrete, which allows the estimation of the fatigue bearing capacity in concrete of any compression strength. In present technical approvals only the worst‐case values are specified. The site of fracture and the recorded parameters showed characteristics, which allow the determination of the failure mode. Thus, the planning of succeeding tests can be improved. |
