Application of drawdown test technology in SL underground gas storage of Liaohe Oilfield

Abstract:In the operation process of gas storage, cyclic gas injection and production causes frequent pressure change in the storage area, leading to uncertain change of reservoir injection/production capacity and physical property. Drawdown test after injection stopping was carried out continuously and the pressure and gas injection/production rate of injection/production wells were monitored. In addition, the variation laws of formation pressure, reservoir physical properties (well storage coefficient, skin factor and permeability) and reservoir boundary with time and cumulative gas injection in the storage area were summarized, and the gas injection swept scope of injection/production well and the formation communication situation were clarified, so as to provide a reliable basis for the safe operation and scientific control of underground gas storage. The drawdown test technology has been applied more than 50 well times since the initial stage of gas storage construction, which ensures gas injection pressure and formation pressure to satisfy the design requirements for the safe operation of gas storage and provides reference experience for the monitoring operation of other gas storage groups in Liaohe Oilfield.
