Rear High Level Gas Drainage Gateway Applied to Control Gas from Initial Coal Mining of Fully Mechanized Mining Face
Abstract:A mining method in No.5 Mine of Yangquan Mining Group Corp. is a fully mechanized one pass cut caving method. Above the No.15 mining seam, there is a unmined protective seam. The No.15 seam is a spontaneous combustion seam. A gas drainage operation in the tailgate and inclined high level drainage gateway was not suitable to be applied to control the gas problem occurred in the mining period. A high level gas drainage gateway along the seam roof strike applied to gas control was shown that the gas drainage along the roof strike had a high gas drainage volume, high drainage efficiency, a good continuous drainage operation and other features. But at the initial period, due to the falling depth of the roof and the cracks in the roof not reached to the strike high level gas drainage seam, the drainage result did not reach an expected result. With series measures, unfavorable factors overcame at the initial mining period have basically solved the gas content over limit at mining face at the initial mining period.
