气中电火花线切割加工技术研究

摘    要:传统的电火花加工,一般都在液体介质中进行,如煤油等。虽然液体介质被认为是平稳和高效加工所必需的,但是它可以造成环境污染。在分析压缩气体条件下进行电火花加工机理的基础上,提出一种气中电火花线切割加工的新工艺。其运动着的电极,甚至在大气中也可以从加工间隙中排除加工屑;而且将其用于精加工(多次切割)时,可获得沿工件厚度方向上比液中加工时更高的直线度。低速走丝试验结果证明了上述的优点。高速走丝气中电火花线切割加工的初步试验结果表明,气中电火花线切割加工具有广阔的应用前景。

Abstract:Conventional electrical discharge machining(EDM) is generally carried out in dielectric liquid such as kerosene-based oil. Although liquid medium is regarded as indispensable for the stability and efficiency of the process, but it may cause certain environmental pollution. Based on analyzing the machining mechanism of EDM in compressed gas, a new wire-cut EDM(WEDM) in gas is presented. For WEDM in gas, its traveling tool electrode may conduce to removing debris from the working gap even in atmosphere and by utilizing this process as finish-cut, obtained straightness along the work's thickness direction is significantly better than that machined in water. Experimental results of low speed WEDM have proved above-mentioned features and those of high speed WEDM preliminarily show that WEDM in gas has broad prospects to its application.
