Abstract:Characteristics of beating and strengths of reed pulps cooked by displacement process were studied.The bleachabilities of these pulps bleached by ECF and TCF processes were also studied. The results showed that these pulps were more difficult to beat and had better strengths than conventional soda reed pulps. With QOpAPoP and QOpDP bleaching sequences, these reed pulps could be bleached to brightness of 77.0%ISO and 85.0%ISO respectively.
