摘    要:一个采用独特的位置读出方法(阴极本身作为读出延迟线)的位置灵敏平行板雪崩计数器已得到初步结果;该探测器工作在1.33—2.67kPa的异丁烷气体中,得到好于1mm的位置分辨和约350ps的时间分辨(对~(252)Cf裂变源)。

Abstract:A position sensitive parallel plate avalanche counter with a distributed constant delay-line-cathode (PSAC) is described in this paper. The strips formed on the printed board serve both as the cathode and the delay line for readout of signals. The detector (PSAC) vat operated in isobut-ane gas at pressures from 10 to 20 torr. A position resolution is better than 1 mm and a time resolution is about 350ps,for 252 Cf fission-spectrum source.
