Quick Check and Treatment of One-Point Grounding Fault in Generator Rotor Windings

This paper introduces an example of the quick check and treatment of one-point grounding fault in generator rotor windings for Xiaosanxia Hydropower Station using potential distribution,analyzes the cause of malfunction,and points out the hazards of the generator rotor winding is ground fault.Stressed unit installation and maintenance process should strictly enforce the provisions of the relevant process technology standards and generators wind tunnel management,should conduct careful inspection and acceptance of the new installation and maintenance unit before operation of the generator wind tunnel,to prevent the rotor one-point grounding fault from occurring.
