Site Memory Based Design：a Case Study of the Advanced Manufacture Building at HUST

Based on the interpretation of the site's value, significance and importance in Architecture, this paper emphasizes that site memory makes a potential and profound impact on the architectural generation. Architects should pay high attention on the value of site memory, and carry on the design within the macroscopic space-time context. Thus, architecture can get more rich connotation and meaning. This paper also uses an specific case to show how to develop design based on site memory.
