Nonsimilar axisymmetric stagnation flow on a moving cylinder

Abstract:An analysis is presented to investigate the fluid dynamic characteristics of an axisymmetric stagnation flow on a moving circular cylinder. The governing boundary layer equations have been solved numerically. The range of Reynolds numbers considered was from 0.01 to 100. The development of the velocity distribution has been illustrated for various positive and negative values of the wall velocity.
