| Abstract: | The composite geotextile has been applied in seepage prevention of earth dam foundation, dam body, and bank revetment of reservoir area in Qilihe water storage works. In this paper, the causes of seepage in reservoir area is analysed, the type and the performance of the composite geotextile, and the design, the construction of the seepage prevention structure for the dam foundation, dam body and bank revetment are introduced. Finally, the writers pointed out that the seepage prevention with composite geotextile is of low cost, convenience for construction, high integrity, good seepage-prevention effect and marked economic benefit. |
