| Abstract: | Starting with antibiotics, an introduction to strategy and means utilized for the improvement of secondary metabolites producing strains was given. Based on the theory of metabolic engineering, a further advances was made on the "five word strategy"which was effective in designed breeding of primary metabolites, and a discussion was made in the prospect for its application in designed breeding for the overproduction of secondary metabolites |
