Abstract:The interaction between DNA and the Eu(Phe) 3 3 complex ion has been studied by means of cyclic voltammetry and differential UV spectroscopy The results depicted an obvious decrease of peak current in CV plot after the reaction between the two species studied The observed peak potential separation was increased but the diffusion coefficient of Eu complex ion was decreased Hypochromicity was observed at 226 and 258 nm after the predicted interaction of them A preliminary interpretation is proposed for discussion
