Abstract: | A hypothesis for the relationship between jumplike deformation in AMg6 aluminum alloy under stress-controlled static tension loading and fracture of secondary-phase dispersed inclusions is presented and substantiated. The values of jumplike deformation increments have been found to depend on the size of dispersed phases and their distribution in the alloy. A procedure is put forward for predicting jumplike deformation in the alloy on the basis of histograms of distribution of dispersed particles in the initial material. |
