| Abstract: | The fractionator bottom heat exchangers in refinery FCCU and visbreaker have a higher tendency of fouling, which will have a great impact on process performance and economics. The advantages of spiral plate heat exchanger are compared with conventional shell-tube heat exchanger. The commercial installations demonstrate that the application of spiral plate heat exchanger has improved the heat transfer efficiency and reduced the operating costs of the units. |
