| Abstract: | Smart grid becomes the first choice of the global electric power industry, it is the direction of the electric power system in the 21st century. Smart meters play a fundamental role in the construction of smart grid, and it is the most important basic equipment. The smart meter is an important part of the grid realization automation, information and inter- action. This paper mainly summarized the definition of smart meters, the functions and position in the smart grid. |
