| Abstract: | Radiotracer incubation experiments and beta microimaging, along with fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH), are proposed as a complementary approach to specific methanogenic activity testing and measurement of in vitro substrate utilisation rates to understand better the ecophysiology of anaerobic granular biofilms from wastewater treatment reactors. |
