| Abstract: | This article provides simple mathematical formulas for approximating values such as blood volume, red cell mass, and plasma volume. Additionally, other useful formulas and examples are given to estimate increments in hemoglobin, platelets, and factor VIII levels following the transfusion of blood components. |
