Abstract: | This experimental study concerns the production and evaluation of YBa2Cu3Ox superconducting thick films produced by slicing these films from a large bulk specimen. The resistivity/temperature behavior of these films was found to be equivalent to, or better than, the resistivity/temperature behavior of identically prepared bulk specimens made from the same material. Practical applications involving the use of this technique are probably most likely in hybrid microelectronic devices. Applications involving larger-scale electronic circuits and other superconducting devices are also possible. |
