Abstract: | Research and development involving the preparation and application of fibrous resins is an area of growing interest in the field of ion exchange. Fibrous resins have significant advantages over conventional resins of which fast kinetics is the most important. This article reviews ion-exchange fibers, focusing on metallurgical applications. Work at Mintek on the development offibers for the recovery of gold is described in some detail. |
