| Abstract: | It has been found that pToluene sulphonic acid was superior to H 2SO 4 when used as catalyst for esterification of isoamyl alcohol with acetic acid. The optimum reaction conditions in synthesis of isoamyl acetate catalyzed with ptoluene sulphonic acid was determined,with the yield at 97.7%. |
