The main method for construction supervision is control and the base of the control is information which is the basis for supervision engineers to make decision. A hydro-electric project is characterized by long construction period, many interference factors and complicated construction environment, so that it is particularly difficult to manage information on the construction supervision. Since the information management was emphasized in the construction supervision of the stage I works of the Three Gorges Project, engineering information played an important role in speeding up construction progress, guaranteing quality of works and controlling payment in accordance with contract. This paper describes the function and effect of supervision information, classified management of information and management method for supervision records.
