| Abstract: | The concept and development of Predictive Maintenance （PM） is introduced in this paper. The function and advantage of PM technology in equipment management is described and illustrated. With the experience of PM application in machining line in Engine Plant of Shanghai Volkswagen, the importance of PM technology is elaborated. It is indicated that the PM method is an important trend for equipment management. |
