Abstract:The waste oils (aromatic content about 50% )from fraction in a petroleum refinery and the waste vulcanizate powder of the tire tread were used as the plasticizer and the filler of the blend of PVC/CPE, respectively . The mixing and filling process behaviors of the blend obtained were favorable , and the thermostability , acid and alkali resistances good , but oil resistance poor . The blend composition (phr)were as follows :PVC 20-40,CPE 80-60 ,waste oils 45 , waste vulcanizate powder 150 .The mechanical properties of the blend were tensile strength 6.5- 7.5 MPa .elongation at break 150%- 250% .tension set 30%- 50% and Shore hardness 85 A.
