Matrice de diffraction et fréquences naturelles de résonance d’un cylindre

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to show the electromagnetic scattering by a dielectric cylinder of arbitrary shape is characterized by the poles of the scattering matrix of the cylinder. Some examples of reconstructed diffraction patterns, using a singularity expansion method are given, and the attention is drawn on the fact that selection rules for resonant modes excitation can be deduced from group theory.
