Abstract:An analytical method to determine benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylene(BTEX) in printing ink by headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC/MS) using fluorobenzene as an internal standard(ISTD) was presented.Results indicated that the limit of detection of the method was 0.02~0.05 μg/g,and the recovery was 96%~103% with relative standard deviation(RSD) less than 6%.In addition,different colors of UV ink and gravure ink samples were analyzed by the method.Results indicated that BTEX were detected in all of the ink samples,and the amounts of BTEX in UV ink were lower than gravure ink.Furthermore,the amounts of BTEX were different in different colors of ink.The largest amount of BTEX residual was found in the red ink of gravure ink,and the black ink was as the highest one in UV ink.
